Nickelodeon Spongebob Ident

With: Golden Wolf

Roles: Motion design

This project was a dream come true!

My family didn’t have cable TV when I was growing up in Thailand, so one of my favourite things to do was to go to my friend’s house so I could watch cartoons. (My favourite at the time was…PowerPuff Girls! 💪🏽)

One thing I always got excited about were the channel IDs.

I didn’t know it yet, but I loved them because – even though they were short – the music, story, and animation style made them feel solid and complete. When I started working as a motion designer in Thailand, I dreamt of working for a cartoon network someday so I could work exclusively on channel IDs because it seemed so fun.

Then I moved to North America and realized they didn’t create their own IDs. They are mostly created by animation studios. What?! 🤯

When I saw this, I hoped that someday one of these studios would reach out to me to work on a channel ID with them. And Golden Wolf made my dream come true! 😍
Every day while working on this SpongeBob SquarePants project, I thought: “Finally!!”
It was such a full-circle moment for me.

I had so much fun working on this, and I hope you enjoy it too.
